Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk in Belarus. Minsk is the capital city. Belarus. Her father Sergey (d. 2019) was an professional ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka's birthplace was Minsk Belarus in May 1998. Her career has seen her been awarded 12 WTA singles titles. One of them was the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. In doubles, she is extremely skilled. She's been a winner of two Majors with Elise Mertens in the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. In addition to the Belgian tennis pro, she won in the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in 2019, thus completing the Sunshine Double. Just four pairs of women's tennis could have done this feat. The Belarusian rose from second place to third in world singles ranking on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her best ranking was again achieved in the month of January in 2023. She climbed to the top of the doubles ranking in the year following, having winning in Melbourne. This made her the only Belarusian tennis player to succeed in her field. The coach she was working with was the former Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the conclusion of the season of 2019 and also towards the start of 2020. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman has been her coach from the year 2020. Her top idols include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
